WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a Japanese healing method systematized by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. He developed a system of energy transmission that could be used to heal both oneself and others.

The method combines spiritual practice, meditation, and healing techniques, and has been passed down through generations – from teacher to student. Reiki spread to the West through Usui’s students, including Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata. Today, Reiki is practiced worldwide – as a spiritual practice, alternative treatment, and a complement to conventional care (especially abroad, e.g. in hospitals and hospice departments).
AN ANCIENT PRACTICE FOR MODERN TIMES
Reiki is a holistic energy healing method that works with the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The word Reiki means “universal life energy” – Rei = universal, Ki = life energy or Prana.
It is based on the understanding that energy flows through all living things – and that this energy can be balanced through conscious presence and gentle touch. An approach that aligns with modern quantum physics and the understanding that energy is the foundation of all life.
HOW CAN REIKI HELP YOU?
Reiki is experienced differently from person to person, and there is no “right” way to receive it. Some feel warmth, tingling, or energy in the body, while others experience deep calm, clarity, or emotional release. And some may simply feel a sense of deep relaxation.

With me, you can receive Reiki healing in a safe and calm therapeutic space. You remain fully clothed during the treatment, and I gently place my hands on or just above your body. The healing works intuitively and always with respect for your boundaries.
Reiki does not require you to believe in anything specific to benefit from it – all that matters is that you are open to receiving. The energy meets you exactly where you are – with acceptance, calm, and presence. Every Reiki experience is unique, and it’s perfectly okay if you’re simply curious.
My sessions often combine Reiki with sound healing, using shamanic drums, singing bowls, or gongs.

CHAKRA BALANCING – RELEASE TENSION AND FIND FLOW
This healing focuses on the body’s seven main chakras – energy centers connected to body, emotions, and soul. When the chakras are out of balance, we can feel tired, restless, or stuck. When balanced, we often experience more peace, clarity, and energy.
Using Reiki, intuitive energy reading, and sound (drum, gong, or tuning forks), I support your chakras in regaining balance so energy can flow freely through the body.
You may experience:
- A sense of inner peace and emotional relief
- Increased presence and connection to yourself
- Clarity about life themes or emotions
- A sense of connection and self-insight
WHEN IS CHAKRA BALANCING BENEFICIAL?
This form of healing is ideal when you:

EMOTIONAL HEALING – A GENTLE WAY TO LET GO
Instead of analyzing or “fixing” your emotions, we create a safe energetic space where feelings can be met and felt (e.g. grief, anxiety, stress, anger, inner unrest, or self-criticism) with compassion and at your own pace.
Reiki serves as a supportive, balancing force that invites the nervous system to calm down and opens pathways to inner learning and connection. I work with light hand placements and intuitive energy transmission – especially around the heart chakra, solar plexus, and head – combined with grounding and breath.
EMOTIONAL HEALING CAN BE HELPFUL WHEN YOU:

Reiki can be integrated into your therapeutic process if you seek a bodily and sensory approach to what words cannot always express.
Many experience that Reiki helps them connect more deeply with their body, intuition, and emotions – a non-verbal processing – and this can be an important supplement in personal development, especially in times of stress, anxiety, depression, or life crises.
Healing during or after a therapy session can help the body settle and catch up – or land when difficult emotions have surfaced. Reiki supports your nervous system, processes experiences on a deeper level, and may also give you a sense of inner coherence, beyond words.
Healing can be used:

- During a process – as body-based support for emotional work
- With blockages, trauma, life crises, or stress

DISTANCE HEALING – REIKI FROM AFAR
In the Reiki tradition, there’s an understanding that energy is not limited by time or space. This is supported by quantum physics, which has shown that particles can move across space and time. Reiki is a universal life force energy that can be sent and received through intention and presence. Using focus, intention, and specific Reiki symbols and techniques, Reiki can be sent regardless of geographic distance.
You receive the healing in the comfort of your own home, while I tune into your energy and send Reiki. Distance healing can be used for stress, emotional support, or as a supplement to a therapeutic process.
WHEN IS DISTANCE HEALING A GOOD OPTION?
- If you live far away or cannot attend in person
- If you want support between physical sessions
- In acute situations involving stress, unrest, or pain
- As a supportive complement to therapy
Practical:
- Typically 4 sessions of 20 minutes each
- Healing is sent 4 consecutive days at an agreed time
- You’ll receive a text message at the start and end
It’s important that you are lying down while receiving the healing – for example, in bed or on a yoga mat.
If I receive downloads (which often happens), I will share the information with you the following day by text or phone call. You are also encouraged to take notes after the distance healing is complete.
